Ambient Light Sensor Calibration

Ambient light sensors are designed to detect brightness in the same way as human eyes do. They are used wherever the settings in a system have to be adjusted to the ambient conditions as perceived by humans. Smart sensors can predict the indoor or outdoor lighting condition and make the appropriate corrections. This requires a smart calibration source. Labsphere has a selection of broadband and tunable spectral light sources to characterize the spectral response of these sensors.


Automotive Sensor Calibration

Not knowing what equipment and processes are needed to complete your automotive sensor projects can be daunting. We can assist you with identifying the tools you need to design and qualify your products to global industry and regulatory standards. We engineer repeatable, durable targets to characterize and calibrate LIDAR sensors over a broad range of ambient conditions. Flat Fielding/PRNU

Characterization of pixel-to-pixel, or sensor, or imager non-uniformity in response by exposure to a known uniform (flat) field of light with Labsphere’s expansive line of broadband and tunable light sources.

Light sensors are characterized for their linearity, quantum efficiency, spectral responsivity and uniformity in response. Labsphere offers a broad selection of test equipment for the R&D and production.

Characterizing imaging and flat panel arrays of CMOS, CCD and photo sensors for quantum efficiency and spectral responsivity requires absolute values of known irradiance or radiance in defined wavelength bandpasses over the sensitivity range of the sensors under test.
